Obliquity of a Natural Soul

This book is an artistic interpretation of Geeta Dayal's commentary on famous non-musician Brian Eno's album Another Green World. With an emphasis on nature and natural processes (themes present in Eno and Emma Bloom's work) the book is screw posted into wood and printed on paper treated with fragrant, handmade oil.

Various Paper Journals

A collection of mini books made from found and dyed paper. Papers were submerged in handmade dye and water, left out to dry, then flat ironed for texture.

Unified English Braille Tools

In an effort to join those fighting to push accessible design forward, Emma Bloom desires to reach the blind community and bridge tactile barriers. She has begun studies in braille transcription and translation. These flashcards are what she has been using, as a sighted person, to learn the alphabet and practice writing.

Bathtub Experiment 5

As part of an ongoing series these selected dye mosaics, mimicking the look of mold and deterioration, have come to represent hope for those who have undergone natural water disasters "damaging" their belongings in that (as any graphic designer knows) nature provides the best textures.
